Paris

One of our most favorite places in Disney is Epcot's World Showcase. The cast members, food and drinks in World Showcase are native to each country.  Our favorite country is most definitely Paris, France! Walking through there is like being transported to Paris. We have eaten at Monsieur Paul and it's truly one of the best in all of Disney (a real French fine dining experience). Located just behind this fabulous restaurant is Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie (fancy word for bakery) and you do not want to miss it! When we have stayed at the Beach Club or Boardwalk we would walk over in the morning for coffee and breakfast treats. Our daughter's favorite is the chocolate croissant and our son loves the chocolate eclairs. In the evening, we stop back for a glass of wine or champagne and a cheese plate with baguette. This is actually our favorite meal. We sit at a table on the "street" in France and have a bite.  Nothing can beat it!
                                                           
                                                                   
                                         
                                         
 If you have never seen the movie in France it is a must see! It is a tour of France that takes you through the cities and the beautiful countryside of this magnificent country. Walking through the Arcade and visiting the Perfumeria are some of my personal favorites. Here you will find fragrances they only have in France. They are incredibly unique and beautiful.
                                         
                                         
                                                     

 The wine shop is another favorite with bottles of wine from all over France. You can pick up a
decent bottle of wine for under $20. What a bargain for Disney!
    The kids' favorite thing to do is pick up a cell phone at an Agent P World Showcase Adventure Kiosk and go throughout France finding clues to help Agent P (Perry). It's interactive and the kids love it! This can be picked up near the U.K. pavilion. Look for Perry  (from Phineas and Ferb) and the kiosks all over the World Showcase to have an adventure in each country.

 Hi everyone, We have been in Orlando for almost three weeks. I can't believe it has been that long! Twenty days tomorrow to be exact. This is still a stressful time. Between real estate fiascos (selling a house up north) and renting troubles (our current home while we decide where to be more permanent-not quite perfect) life has been chaotic. We have also had a troublesome moving experience (PODS' customer service is a Kafkaesque nightmare).  The difficulties we have had in leaving everything and moving is counterbalanced by the new and familar experiences we are having.  Daily trips to the Disney parks and outings to the beach fill our days. So while everything is still a mess this is an adventure. Hopefully things will even out soon.  We are living in a very nice part of Orlando called Dr. Phillips,  just minutes from the parks. Inspiring Innovation

 2015 was a big year of change for our family. We moved from the northeast to central Florida with 3 children and one of them was a baby at the time.  Tod is a patent attorney as many of my friends and family already know. He has been in the "patent business" for 19 years. His experience includes 6 years as an examiner at the U.S. PTO while attending law school at George Washington Law, 12 years in private practice,  to his current patent attorney day job for a major corporation . Over time we have been asked many questions about the patent industry in general. Women have come to us with fabulous ideas and questions more than anyone else.   One thing we have been thinking long and hard about is a new business venture. Amphicars

These amphicars are some of the coolest things we have ever seen! These boat/cars are adjacent to the Boathouse and can be rented for a ride around the lake along with your own personal captain. There is a funny story behind these cool amphicars. My mom and I were having drinks on the Boathouse dock when she saw them for the first time (actually her 2nd time). She went crazy because she told me this story about how she saw one of these amphicars in 1964 drive out of a lake in Pennsylvania! She and my grandparents thought this was going to be the future...although they obviously are not very efficient and never made it very far in either the boat or car industry.  Still, they are pretty awesome to see in person and we hope to go for a ride someday!                                              The cost is $125 for 3-4 guests and includes your own private Car Captain.
